J&E Construction is a family-run property and construction company specialising in high-quality residential and commercial work. We pride ourselves on being reliable, affordable and trustworthy. J&E’s specialism in the residential sector of construction ranges from simple, off-the-shelf extensions through to luxury bespoke extensions, builds and developments. We are a well-respected local contracting company who are highly regarded within the South West, specifically within the Glastonbury area.

We thrive to aid with all elements of our customers’ wishes and needs in order to deliver results to their high expectations and to ensure that the building works realise better value from the money they invest in property. Our ‘in-house’ and sub-contract workforce provide us with the breadth of knowledge and experience required to achieve such high results.

The Team

Our team all have and share an extensive wealth and depth of experience. They are able to support and guide you through a new build and development from pre-planning stage through to the final product – essentially a ‘turn-key’ project. Alternatively, we are also able to support and aid in any and every possible way in which the project demands, whether ‘turn-key’ or extension. We strive to ensure that the client has maximum support at all times and that we can make sure that the end result is delivered as planned.

Our History

J&E were established in 2015 and had a very successful first year. Our company’s age should not be a detrimental factor when deciding whether or not to choose us for your project. Our employees have a wide range of skills and between them a vast number of years’ experience, from ecclesiastical and heritage works through to domestic properties.

Meet the Director

Hi, I am tom. With over a decade of experience within the construction industry, I decided to set up my own company.  I started my career at ground level as a carpenter and remained in this role for a number of years working for a few local builders and as part of the Wells Cathedral Carpentry team. I then progressed to managing a timber frame company, which included the initial set up of the company. I then developed the company over the course of 18 months and was very successful at winning and being awarded contracts; from domestic extensions and new builds through to school extensions. This brings me to the present moment doing what I love and loving what I do.

When not working, Tom can be found with his family or sampling the West Country’s finest Ales!
